Evoking thoughts of a wild romance, One Day Bridal have captivated us with their Spring 2015 collection ‘Love’s Keeper’, which beautifully blends dramatic and modern silhouettes with an impossibly romantic and whimsical aesthetic.
With a vision of femininity juxtaposed with a modern edge, One Day Bridal head designer Kyha Simpson experimented with a combination of diverse details and unexpected designs to produce a collection of daringly beautiful gowns.
Signature details like exquisite lace, sheer long sleeves, low backs and thigh high splits are combined with intricate hand embroidery and cascading layers of chiffon that pool delicately at the hem, giving an ethereal sense of lightness and sensuality.
An absolute favourite for White Edit is the Nerine gown featuring sheer, long sleeves, floral lace appliqué embroidered onto sheer silk and billowing chiffon that floats effortlessly with each movement, awakening thoughts of a romantic afternoon garden ceremony.
The gowns come to life in an enchanting story, beautifully captured by Erin & Tara on a sprawling private estate in Flinders, Victoria. As we pour over the images we can almost hear the faint echoing of a drum beat, mirroring the energy of two beating hearts that long for each other, upon which the story was based.

We love the naturally tousled waves and loosely pinned hair created by Mae Taylor which extends upon the free-spirited mood. And while the striking gold makeup accents are more editorial, rather than wedding-day appropriate, you can still take cues from idea – dusting eyelids with a shimmery soft gold or applying a highlighter to the inner corners of the eye.
For those non-traditional brides, who have an enviable sense of style and that appreciate exquisite fabrics, masterful tailoring and refined details, you can try on the collection at the One Day Bridal Melbourne boutique.
