Synonymous with intricate bead work, exquisite silhouettes and luxurious textiles, we are forever inspired by couture designer Suzanne Harward, who is celebrating a milestone of 40 years in the industry.
The modern bride was forefront in the mind of the Melbourne based designer when creating her first ever capsule collection.
Not one for being driven by trends or tradition, the Suzanne Harward 40th Anniversary Capsule Collection has an urban edge, yet is equally free-spirited, with an incredible sense of lightness and playfulness.
Modelled here by Brooke Hogan and expertly captured by White Edit favourite Lilli Waters from I Got You Babe Weddings, the unstructured and whimsical silhouettes are brought to life with movement.
Plunging necklines fade into soft, floating fabrics that sweep the floor, low scalloped backs cascade effortlessly, dramatic long sleeves with exquisite lace feature trains that trail gracefully behind, while crops paired with fluid skirts reveal just a hint of skin. There is also a beautifully understated tailored jumpsuit which we imagine a nonchalant bride wearing for a chic city wedding.
In the words of creative producer Brooke Harward the pieces “speak to the hearts of women with an authentic and unashamed free spirit.”

The launch of the capsule collection also coincides with the opening of the refurbished Melbourne showroom, Studio 73, in Collingwood, where each gown is meticulously designed and handmade.
The Capsule Collection is available worldwide through their online store, or to view the entire collection at Studio 73 (and those gorgeous handmade jewels from Misuzi), book an appointment here. With sold out trunk shows across in the country we recommend brides get in quick to avoid disappointment.
